Dilip
Saha
Former VP, Engineering at Aiven
Dilip Saha helps scaling technology companies redesign engineering operating models, modernize platforms, and operationalize AI — turning technology investment into measurable business outcomes. He brings 25+ years of engineering leadership to that work, most recently as VP of Platform Engineering at Aiven, where he led global platform and production engineering functions supporting 200,000+ customer nodes worldwide. Earlier in his career, at HelloFresh, Honeywell, and Bosch, he built and scaled the platforms behind AI-driven personalization and manufacturing automation, work that shaped his conviction that technology transformations succeed or fail on organizational fundamentals, not tooling. He is based in Berlin, Germany, and speaks regularly at industry events on Engineering Leadership and AI-native Engineering operating models.

Solving the real bottleneck in agentic engineering
AI coding tools are speeding up software development, but many engineering leaders are still asking the same question: why have delivery metrics not improved? This talk reframes the problem from faster code to faster value, showing why the real bottleneck often sits beyond the IDE. Drawing on lessons from engineering transformation, platform modernization, and AI adoption, Dilip Saha explores why local optimization in coding shifts bottlenecks into requirements, design, validation, deployment governance, and team coordination. The session will show how leaders can move toward an agentic development flow, where AI supports the full idea-to-production lifecycle and measurement evolves beyond PR cycle time to true customer and business value.
